So it looks like Obama 332 - 206 and Obama 50%-48% once all of the votes are tallied and Florida finishes.

I was off on FL and 1.5% of the national vote I had going to Obama instead of 3rd party candidates.

Maybe now the Republican Party will come to terms with reality.
Is this country center right? I don't think so.

Bob,
Even in a center right country, scaring the women folk and class warfare can work wonders.

Unfortunately, yesterday's election bears witness to the continuing triumph of form over substance in our ADD world.

Gil,
I agree. I think the Republicans scared a lot of women voters by their opposition to the Lilly Ledbetter act "The Ledbetter Act passed the House of Representatives in a mostly party-line vote, and Romney’s own running mate, Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wisc., voted against it.", their talk of defunding planned parenthood, and Republican Todd Akins comment's about rape and pregnancy. Yep. I don't blame women for being afraid of the Republican Party. As far as class warfare goes, Romneys 47% comment and attempts at voter supression (read Smirconish)did wonders to rally voters. If you believe people voted for Obama out of fear, you're probably right. And for good reason. I believe at this point in time, the country is center left, and will remain there as long as Tea Party conservatives and evangelicals remain a powerful force in the Republican Party. The people have spoken.

What the country is is split down the middle. Self identified conservatives outnumber self-identified liberals, 2-1. The rest of the people are - to varying degrees - moderates and will vote how they see fit depending on the attractiveness of the candidate.

The people have spoken alright. They've allowed the president a second term. And they've given him a Republican House with which to negotiate. Let's see him do it.

CNN exit poll data put it a 25 Liberal 41 Moderate 35 Conservative. Not quite getting 2-1 Conservative to Liberal edge is 7-5, not 2-1.

The voters "gave" nothing to Obama in terms of the House. Gerrymandering took care of that.

Charlie Two Times - Why do you have to be such a presumptuous dick. I haven't posted for months under my name or anyone elses. I've never had a problem voicing my opinion up front. What makes you think I'd do it under someone elses name, you paranoid moron. That being said, I'm glad you agree with me. Hope you're happy with the election results. What happened to your boy Romney?

Charlie Two Times - Like I said, stop being a presumptuous dick. I didn't perceive that you deleted that post. It was my post, and I deleted it. I deleted it because the original post was way too venomous. You always seem to be a day late and a dollar short on this stuff. Maybe you should focus your attention on something else. Like video games. Or cartoons.
