More interesting to me is that the father fired a "warning shot" into the air. Some folks get arrested for such reckless acts in various states. That bullet has to land somewhere!
Divert attention by taking a cheap shot at Maher. But easy access to guns is the real issue. Combine that with alcohol and you've got a real pisser. Just ask Dick Cheney.

Easy access to a Constitutional and Supreme Court recognized right? I guess you might want newspapers or books harder to get?? Maybe we should invite the cops to drop in and search our homes when they like. What other rights are you willing to admit should be limited?
Dick Cheyney shotgun accident was during a hunting trip, he was aiming at a grouse. Firing a pistol into the air, a projectile which will travel MUCH further than a shotgun shell could, could land and killed an individual over a mile away. That's assuming it was a 9mm. 357 or 44's would/could go further.
Shooting into the air is stupid and chargeable.
When is the last time someone was shot with a book? This is a classic example of what happens when guns end up in the hands of dumb people. And there's a lot of dumb people out there with guns.
So you would disagree that the Pen is mightier than the Sword.
I guess it depends on what is written. How many people died after reading the Communist Manifesto, or Mein Kampf, or the Holy Bible?? Maybe you need to burn a Koran. You understand very little if you think the written word, or spoken word can cause no ill.
The post by Anonyous which is the penultimate as this is being typed is instuctive. As in it is a classic example of what happens when keyboards end up in the hands of dumb people. Wish I could, wish I might, I would really enjoy putting Anonymous poster in touch with former poster Bob Bohne. They are soul mates.

In Florida, a woman got 20 years for firing a warning shot. Of course she was NOT a protected class, like a Corrections officer or LEO.

I miss Bob too, but obviously not as much as you guys. Charlie borders on obsession. Not a post go's by without him mentioning Bob. Probably checks under the bed every night just to make sure BOB isn't there.
