Solidifying the Black Vote

Thomas Sowell's take on the punishment of black students in America's public schools: It's a hoax.
If black males get punished more often than Asian American females, does that mean that it is somebody else's fault? That it is impossible that black males are behaving differently from Asian American females? Nobody in his right mind believes that. But that is the unspoken premise, without which the punishment statistics prove nothing about "equity."
What is the purpose or effect of this whole exercise by the Department of Education and the Department of Justice? To help black students or to secure the black vote in an election year by seeming to be coming to the rescue of blacks from white oppression?
Among the many serious problems of ghetto schools is the legal difficulty of getting rid of disruptive hoodlums, a mere handful of whom can be enough to destroy the education of a far larger number of other black students -- and with it destroy their chances for a better life.

I truly had hope that having elected a black president would have a unifying impact to society. I fear the exact opposite has occurred!

Danny - It's hard to unify when the Republicans right out of the box say that job one is to make Obama a one term president, conservative talk show hosts say they want the president to fail, large segments of the right question his legitimacy, and his religion.

It's also hard to unify when the black people blindly follow a losing administration solely based on his race. Which I will remind everyone he is half black, half white.
The reason President Obama will be a one term President is his plan has failed. Other than basically following the Bush/Cheyney military plan, what else has worked for him? Solyndra, Fast and Furious, Black Panther voter intimidation, the Volt. Seems to me the only people who do well in this Chicago administration are the people who donate huge piles of cash to the administration!

He is going to lose, Bob. And lose HUGE...

Yea! The Black Panthers are a HUGE threat Danny. All 5 of them. But you are the classic example of why there isnt unity. Your focus is on everyhing that you perceive as negative. And your "blindly follow" comment is really insulting to blacks. Again, this perception that blacks can't make a decission. Danny, maybe you should be going door to door giving black people the good news about the Republican Party.

You go ahead and list the positives, Bob. I will wait!!

Trillions of debt? Bush's fault.

Martin Luther King was a Republican.
Democrats were the KKK.

"Many blacks erroneously believe the GOP consists of rich racist white people. In reality, the GOP was founded to free blacks. Only five years after slavery, there were black congressmen, all Republicans. The KKK, Jim Crow laws, segregation, and denying blacks the right to vote where all birthed by Democrats."

Danny - Todays Dem. party in no way resembles the Democratic party of the old South any more than todays Republican party resembles the Republican party that I once belonged to. The party of Ike and Goldwater. That all changed when LBJ signed Civil Rights legislation and the segregationists became Republicans. You want a list of all of the acomplishments of the Obama administration? You have a computer. Google it.

Bob,
No need to Google:
The Obama "accomplishments" are well documented:

Jamming Obamacare down the country's throat even though a well-documented majority of Americans have been consistently opposed to it, and even its union and liberal supporters have required waivers to tolerate its implementation -- CHECK

First Lady's multi-million dollar vacations while America suffers through a recession -- CHECK

Geithner overseeing the first downgrade of Treasury bonds in American history -- CHECK

The longest recession and highest unemployment since The Great Depression -- CHECK

Environmental whackos at the EPA promoting more nonsense like Cap and Trade, shutting down the Keystone Pipeline, and denying offshore drilling permits -- CHECK

Wasting billions of dollars on fraudulent green energy schemes, merely as a way to reward Democrat campaign supporters -- CHECK

When Obama is President, the whole country becomes pledges from the Omega fraternity from Animal House, "Thank you sir, may I have another."

Jake - What would one expect from someone who won't even acknowlege the fact that Obama got Bin Laden.

So sad, Bob, that you can only respond about Obama getting Bin Laden when Jake presents a very clear and irrefutable list of the "accomplishments" of the Obama administration. And what you fail to acknowledge is that it was the resolve of President Bush [the gentleman to the right on your idiotic photo ID] and what he set in motion that ultimately resulted in President Obama being able to take the credit for getting Bin Laden. However, most regular readers of Spencerblog would not expect anything different.

Charlie - It's just killing you that Obama got Bin Laden, isn't it?

But there's simply no denying it.

The worst terrorist attack in our history took place on Bush's watch.
Rice testified that the Aug. 6th, memo about Bin Laden's determination to attack on U.S. soil was not included in Bush's morning briefing that day. Some would consider that gross negligence. And then he let Bin Laden get away at Tora Bora. Six months after 9/11, Bush said he was no longer concerned with Bin Laden. He was to busy preparing to attack another country that had nothing to do with 9/11. So much for Bush's resolve. You should get down on your knees and kiss Obamas feet for being able to do what Bush couldn't.
