Oh Really? He's Not to Blame?

Bill O'Reilly responds to those who blame him for Dr. Tillers' murder.

O'Reilly writes:
"Tiller the baby killer." Some pro-lifers branded him that, and I reported it.

He didn't just "report" but branded Tiller with that and worse himself.

Tiller, O'Reilly likes to say, "destroys fetuses for just about any reason right up until the birth date for $5,000." He's guilty of "Nazi stuff," said O'Reilly on June 8, 2005; a moral equivalent to NAMBLA and al-Qaida, he suggested on March 15, 2006. "This is the kind of stuff happened in Mao's China, Hitler's Germany, Stalin's Soviet Union," said O'Reilly on Nov. 9, 2006. On June 15, 2009 he says "No question Dr. Tiller has blood on his hands."

As for there being only three late-term abortion clinics, that's way too few. It's acts of terrorism against doctors like Tiller that have caused clinics to shut down or prevented others from opening. Essentially, domestic terrorism against legal medical procedures sought by women has been successful.
We shouldn't let the terrorists (and their cheerleaders like O'Reilly) win.

Wrong, wrong, wrong.
Our country needs more vigorous, impassioned debate on serious issues, not less. Just because someone disagrees, or because mentally unstable people seek validation through criminal acts, is no reason to stifle debate.
This whole fraudulent notion of "hate speech" has derailed the freedom of expression so essential to our sound democracy.
Look back in history at the derogatory comments made about Jefferson, Lincoln, Kennedy and all sorts of public officials.
We cannot allow the liberal glorification of superficial good intentions to censor the soul of our democratic republic.
