He Got His Irish Up

CBS golf analyst David Feherty apologizes for Pelosi joke.

How offensive was it? You be the judge.

Of course, it's fine to make jokes about wanting Rush Limbaugh dead. Even the president laughs at those.

I can't even believe this country has come to this. Its totally ok for a liberal dem to wish another person dead, and even the president can laugh about it, but a sportscaster makes a joke about Pelosi and has to apologize....I can only pray that Pelosi is home when the big one hits San Fran and that this country is not doomed to become a liberal dem hell, but I fear it is. God help us all. If I see Wanda on the streets of Media I'll be sure to ask her if she'd think it funny to wish Oprah's kidney's fall out.

Actually, I think what he said was pretty funny. Do I have to apologize to somebody for laughing?
Many jokes push the boundaries of good taste, particularly as they lampoon public figures. It's called sarcasm or satire and is precisely the type of free speech the founders envisioned when they established our 1st Amendment freedom of expression.
I don't understand why anybody ever should have to apologize for humor. If you don't like it, don't laugh.
