As I said in a previous column, I don't root for the death penalty anymore. But if anybody every deserved it, it's this guy.

Good point.
"Authorities have said Burgess, who has “lawless hoodlum” tattooed on his arm, is a career criminal with a record that includes assaults and robbery offenses."
Are these the same authorities who offer "lawless hoodlum" and others like him the plea bargains they need to get back on the street?
Should this lawless hoodlum have been in jail at the time of the murders (like so many other murderers) had he been prosecuted and sentenced correctly for all his previous offenses?
