OK. Let me make this clear to E and Carter. Daschle should be dumped now. BTW, I'm still waiting for Carters apology and E's explanation for the ten Republican votes for Geithner.

I am never going to apologize for the dopy republicans that supported Geithner, nor will I apologize for the Arlen Specters of the Senate who will vote for the spending bill that has been renamed a stimulus bill. These elected officials in Washington are disgusting. They are going to finally kill our economy.

Glad to see you are being reasonable. I have no explanation why any dope from either party would have voted for to confirm Geithner. I have no explanation why this stuff didn't come out while he was the President of the Federal reserve bank and I have no explanation why Team Obama did not figure it out during a background check before nominating him. He may do a great job and I hope that he does now that he's in. He just never should have gotten there. I'm sure there are some child molesters out there that would be great school teachers. I just feel that after you do certain things, you shouldn't be allowed to hold certain jobs and this is one of those things.

This is getting kinda ridiculous. At least Bill Richardson had the decency to step aside when issues came about concerning his background.
These two cabinet members will be tainted. Especially the secretary of the treasury - how can you put someone through who didn't pay taxes until he was up for the position???
e - dead on with your opinion tax cheats shouldn't be nominated for key cabinet positions - especially secretary of the treasury! Come on! Administrations/Transition teams do enough due dilligence on these nominees, I still find it remarkable that they felt Geithner was still worthy.

Good for you - If you are crooked you should be canned! Now, what about Geithner? He should be canned too because his tax indiscretions disqualify him from employment in the IRS and even the Justice Department. What sayeth you Baaahb? Nice to see that Dashchal did the right thing. To answer an earlier question of your's, I'm not a pacifist. I come from a military family, and I'm one of the few on this blog who served. I had no problem with Bush going after Bin Laden in Afghanistan, and I have no problem with Obama finishing the job. What I did have a problem with, was Bush taking his eye of the ball to persue what Buchanan correctly called "an Imperialistic War". When will people like you be reasonable, and admit that Bush was wrong to go into Iraq?

You need to let go of Bush... He's a former president now, just like George Washington.
You need to direct you attention to the lies and deceit that are coming out of the White House today, not last year.

real e - I understand where you are coming from. If I were a Republican, I'd want everyone to forget about Bush too. But, HEY! Theres hope! Remember that guy, Joe the Plumber? You know. The guy who never wanted international attention, but had his life spoiled when Obama drug him kicking and screaming into the flood lights? Now that he's done his stint as a foreign corespondent, he's doing speaking engagements for the Republicans.

By the way, I think it's safe to theorize that you may be the only one on this blog to have served.
steve- Look at who is leading the Republican party: Rush Limbaugh, Sarah Palin, Michael Steele, Joe the Plumber.
What do they have in common? Media personality and no real ideas. They are great at promoting themselves, but weak on actual policy.
Obama has personality and real ideas and a democratic majority.
Steve - Thats easy. Dems playing follow the leader. They are going along with what Obama wants. On the other hand, the Republican votes are harder to explain.
his ideas are overly liberal and will never unite this country - we all know that - I've been beating that drum for over a year.

How do you feel about the Obama war crimes when he issued orders for a missile strike that killed innocent civilians? Should he be prosecuted?
e - For your information, Im an Independant. I was very critical of the Dems cowardly vote that allowed King George to invade Iraq.
Well Bob, for an independent, you really sound like you are on board with the Obama-nation thats running the country.
e - The last Republican I voted for was George H. W. Bush, and I don't regret it. Then I voted for Clinton, and I don't regret that. I voted for Obama because I believe he was the better of the two candidates, and I want Obama to be a smashing success. Don't you?
