Another Murdered Cop
Another Philly cop shot and killed. His wife was two-months pregnant.
The shooter was wounded and is in custody. Maybe he can go to prison, write a book and become celebrated by the hard and looney political left for being a victim of our criminal justice system.

Here is what the real problem is in Philadelphia, ignorant people trying to solve a complex problem. Look at this quote from Michael Nutter:
"It's a culture of very few people who have no regard for their own lives, no regard for citizens and certainly no regard for police officers," Nutter said. "It is a senseless, mindless culture. I'm not going to try to figure it out, but I am going to do something about it."
I'm not going to try and figure it out, but I'm going to do something about it... How can you solve a problem if you don't know what it is. You can't. But you can "do something about it" by pretending to be doing something productive when you have no clue what you are doing, so nothing changes.

Nutter is saying that he is going to advocate more gun control, which only affects law abiding citizens. In the Dailt Times this weekend, the editorial said that we need to be tougher on criminals, and that people should be willing to come forward and be witnesses against criminals - blah blah blah. Then the editorial goes down the crapper when it says that no one advocates that everyone own a gun.
I advocate that every law abiding citizen owes a duty to themselves, their loved ones, and to society to own and be ready to use a firearm. In this country there is no legal right to any police protection. So to rely on the police who dont owe you any duty to protect is you is irrational and a huge mistake and it will lead to your own death, or the death or severe injury of your loved ones.
It is too bad that there were no citizens close by who were armed who could have saved this officer's life. Now he is dead and he leaves behind his wife and unborn baby. Very sad.

no vigilante with a gun could have saved Officer Pawlowski. goes back to the same problem that illegal guns are on the streets. How are you going to keep the guns off the streets - instead of punishing those after the fact?

It suddenly dawned on me that you are a man who lives in fear. Well, if every law abiding citizen in this country owns a gun, we will all have something to fear.
If Michael Nutter or even a national level politician wanted to really solve the problem, they would create a study or a commission to identify the offenders, look into their background, find what existing gun laws have been violated by these offenders and see where the system failed. Then fix the areas where the system failed. I'll bet that if they did this, they would find that a huge majority of the offenders are violating existing gun laws when committing their gun crimes. The gun laws they violated are not being prosecuted and the offender is not serving the sentence they should have served, leaving them back on the street to commit another gun crime. Restrictions on gun ownership only keeps law abiding people from possessing legally owned firearms. This I'm sure they would find is a very small percentage, probably less than 1% of the problem. Targeting a small percentage of the problem will not solve the problem. They need to target offenders who are already prohibited from possessing legally owned firearms and offenders who possess illegally owned firearms. Make it life in prison for illegally possessing a firearm and life in prison for committing a crime with a gun. Watch the gun crimes fade away as the animals in society are caged for life.
Quote from Daily Times article on Micheal Wright who pulled a gun on Chester Police and was shot:
"A records check showed that Wright is a former convict and barred from possessing a firearm."
This is a prime example of what the problem is. Cage this animal forever. He has shown that he will kill a cop, he should never be free again.
Cocaine is banned everywhere in the United States. Tons of it come in the country everyday. Tons of illegal guns would come in everyday if guns were banned. The Michael Wright's of this world will still get their guns if guns are banned. Solve the problem. The problem is the Michael Wright's of this world, not the guns.

Also, whose responsibility is it to protect you from a criminal who is in possession of a deadly weapon?

Steve you are missing the point. This is the problem in Philadelphia. People can't see past the guns. The problem is the criminal justice system fails to put away and keep locked up people who have shown that they are stone cold violent hardened criminals who will kill anyone including a cop for the slightest reason. Your question is silly. Why does a deadly criminal have a deadly weapon... That's like asking why a drug dealer has cocaine. Neither are allowed to have the stuff, but that is what they do and just the fact that a law exists is not going to stop them from getting done what they want to get done. We have a law against shooting someone and murdering someone too. You see how much of a deterrent laws are...
The real questions should be, why was this stone cold killer out on the street? Why aren't our courts prosecuting every offense to keep these stone cold killers in jail? Why isn't our legislature taking action to mandate courts and the criminal justice system to enforce, prosecute, convict, sentence and incarcerate these stone cold killers instead of giving them plea bargains and parole/probation?
Carter - Your insistence on calling me Baaahb proves to everyone on this blog that Pro Christ a liar, hypocrite, and not a man who keeps his word. You've been exposed Carter.

As for the guns, what are you so fearful of, and what makes you think they are too easy to get? Cars cause more injury and death than firearms and there are far more firearms than cars in existence. What say you Baaahb?

Office Pawlowski was buried with an ultrasound image of his son in his hand - because its the only opportunity he'll ever have to hold his son. Thats heartbreaking.
Carter - I really don't care if you call me Baaahb. I just wanted to point out to everyone else on the blog that you weren't man enough to keep your word, and I've done that. I didn't expect you to be true to your word. You're not a reasonable person. But then what would one expect from a person who's own father wrote to the Times questioning his sons ability to think straight. Remember that one Carter? When you wanted to arm all of the teachers? The dobernmans. The guns. Carter, you are a man who lives in fear. And that Carter, is pretty sad.

Carter (Pro Christ?)- What don't you get about this? When you give your word, or make a promise, its unethical not to keep that promise. Maybe Gil can explain it to you. Or maybe one of your daughters. Sounds like your Dad has tried, and given up.
As for me not revealing my last name, had you shown your face at the Locust Crest the night that Gil had his get together, you would have met me face to face.
I think that kind of blows away your theory that I'm afraid to reveal myself. Gil knows me quite well.

I remember the time you wrote to the Times about your fear of seeing homosexuals making out in Ice Cream parlors in Swarthmore. Do you carry a condom just in case you're attacked by homosexuals?Would that be an occasion where you would pull out your gun? Hey - Do you carry around a snake bite kit too? Clove of garlic around your neck? Silver bullets?
