You Must Be Smart If Your Name Is Adlai

Groupthink among the intellectuals.

No one will ever accuse Bush of being an intellectual. You have dodged the same bullet.

Sowell's been peddling this nonsense for over a decade in his book "The Vision of the Anointed". Pretty anti-intellectual to keep recycling the same old crap, and not condemn the group-think that led to the Iraq War, torture policy, deregulation, record deficits, etc.

The problem with conservatives is that they keep spreading around manure, but never plant anything.

many reasons why intellectuals are not taken as seriously by others as they take themselves.
During the 1930s, some of the leading intellectuals in America condemned our economic system and pointed to the centrally planned Soviet economy as a model — all this at a time when literally millions of people were starving to death in the Soviet Union,
In the 1930s, it was the intellectuals who pooh-poohed the dangers from the rise of Hitler and urged Western disarmament.

It would be no feat to fill a big book with all the things on which intellectuals were grossly mistaken, just in the 20th century — far more so than ordinary people.
How have intellectuals managed to be so wrong, so often? By thinking that because they are knowledgeable — or even expert — within some narrow band out of the vast spectrum of human concerns, that makes them wise guides to the masses and to the rulers of the nation.

But the ignorance of Ph.D.s is still ignorance and high-IQ groupthink is still groupthink, which is the antithesis of real thinking.

Lol… Good stuff!
“Intellectual” is just a name Liberals give themselves in an effort to lend their smug idiocy more undue credibility. After all, how smart is someone, really, if they use their smarts to spout idiotic childish inanities, anyway? Why does anyone listen to the mentally ill Liberals?

The GOP abandoned its intellectuals (George Will, David Brooks, etc.)

Ignorance is the new banner.

Funny how Libs and Liberalism require all that false validation to convince others of its merits.

Funny how neocons require no validation or matching results in reality to their claims in fantasy.

Mission Accomplished? Greeted as liberators? Iraq War paying for itself? Deregulation brings prosperity?

The intellectual pillars of conservative thinking have been abandoned by the moronic "movement conservatives" who owned the failed ideology.
Gets might cold and lonely out in the political wilderness when you abandon the "intellectuals" that actually knew the secret for making "fire".

Youch. Looks like I touched a Lib nerve.
How pathetic it must feel to be married to such a childish and emotional ideology as Libism that needs all that engineered validation… Tsk-tsk…

we have the only validation that mattered in the end: a landslide election that rejected the gop elephant droppings (a.k.a. policies)

it's getting tougher and tougher to make out what conservatives are saying with all their crying and sobbing. have fun in the wilderness. dress warm.
