Democrats: We've Got a Better Idea!

And now, the auto industry bailout.

Is there a single business in America the federal government will not got into over the next four years?

I'm pretty sure an Obama administration will not be bailing out oil companies.

Why don't the auto makers limit themselves to paying competitive wages and benefits in line with what workers could earn elsewhere? Because, in the 1930s, Congress passed the Wagner Act with the nearly explicit purpose of imposing a labor monopoly on Detroit to keep wages at higher-than-competitive levels.
Why doesn't Detroit rationalize its musty brand lineups and dealer networks? Because, in the 1950s, legislatures across the country imposed franchising laws, including the federal "dealer day-in-court clause," to make such rationalization prohibitively expensive.
Why don't the auto giants do as Whirlpool and other manufacturers have done, and move their production to cheaper offshore locales? Because, in the 1970s, Congress enacted fuel economy rules to penalize homegrown auto makers if they don't build the lion's share of their cars in high-wage, UAW-staffed domestic factories.
No, Detroit's troubles don't arise because its executives are morons. The human factor nets out over time. Nor is it the diktat of nature that companies get old and senile and die. The only thing wrong with corporate longevity are the legal encrustations that accumulate along the way.

Once again we can blame Liberals for this problem. Greedy unions for pricing the domestic makers out of competition and the Dems for piling on oppressives laws and regulations.
Like with the mortgage meltdown, this is what happens when the free market is poluted by Liberalism. Then the LibDems come riding to the rescue by inflicting even more Socialist regulation/ nationalization, all the while pointing their fingers and blaming “unrestricted” Capitalism.

They’re lying to you.

it's the dems fault alright. they foolishly let the gop run congress for 12 of the last 14 years and the whitehouse for the last 8. just to prove that the gop ideas would run the country into the ground.
and socialists like mccain voted for the bail out.

Dishonest Dave, why do you continue to cloak your grammar styles so as to fool others into thinking you are someone else? We all know from the dope you post that it’s you.
It’s tough to hide the blindly partisan childish dishonest inanities you espouse.

Capitalists like McCain begrudgingly voted for the bailout in order to save our nation from total economic collapse. While Socialists like Obama gleefully voted for it because they love such government control. Then they lie and wring their hands as if they hate it too because they well know voters hate such Socialism, so they gotta try to hide it. Yeah, they’re liars like that. It comes with being a Lib.
