Obama "Organizes" Barakistan

In reponse to Sarah Palin's devasting mockery, the Obama campaign's David Plouffe explains the important work of a "community organizer" to the amusement of WSJ's James Taranto:

Plouffe: Community organizing is how ordinary people respond to out-of-touch politicians and their failed policies.
And it's no surprise that, after eight years of George Bush, millions of people have found that by coming together in their local communities they can change the course of history. That promise is what our campaign has been about from the beginning.

Taranto: That's right--community organizing consists of helping elect Barack Obama president! This fits right in with Obama's claim, noted here yesterday, that he is more qualified to be president than Palin is to be vice president because, whereas she has run a mere town, he has run a campaign for himself.

The community Barack Obama has organized is, in Plouffe's own telling, the community of those who admire Barack Obama. He is mayor of Obamaville and aspires to be president of Barackistan. At the center of it all is a man who, like Hans Christian Andersen's naked emperor, may or may not believe that his veneer of accomplishment is real.

Oh please. Community Organizers have ups and downs (e.g. Where did good ol' John Street get his start? How about that Cheri Honkala who does more controversial than productive things?). Do you get the point that his resume is still too hollow for this job?

But Hussein did not really even do the community organizer thing. How could that possibly make him more qualified than Palin?

Would you debate her? Biden will have to and he will get smoked!

This is a newsflash for you and all of the dopey dumbocrats that think like you:

The House of Representatives sets fiscal and tax policy in the country, and that body is controlled by the democrats.

The democrats approval rating in Congress is much lower than the President's. Where is the outrage?

yes. Belittling it in the sense that using it as you're main backup as why you should be president is pretty weak. I know you'll argue it, but if someone from the republican side were to have the same resume, you'd also be all over it, and rightly so.

Barry's not qualified, I'm sorry. You could have had a great 4-8 years if your party woke up and chose proven success and leadership like a Bill Richardson or enlisted Mark Warner (My personal fav), but you're defending this 3.5 year senator. Plus, he's as liberal as they get, not going to be healthy for a diverse country (Shall I continue to beat this drum?)

America needs balance, they want stability. Barack Obama will never bring it due to his views and overly-liberal agenda. It may work for some, but not for others. Same as W.

Prove me wrong, which you can't do. And don't bother with your bullet-points, Save your energy for the electric cars we still don't have.

And Lincoln's America was much smaller with international issues almost non existant. Much smaller government, much smaller population base, much smaller press that didn't delivery instantaneous news coverage. Last time I checked, CNN wasn't in his face every 5 minutes to check whether or not he picked his nose.

What a terrible arguement to make!

Obama is right just because of the war in Iraq? Please. Shall we revisit the manny jihad PR tour he wanted or his eventual repeitition of the Georgia situation that McCain stated first?

"Palin's fiscal "success" in Alaska has been in lobbying Washington for earmarks and pork-barrel.

Sounds like more of the same."

I guess Dave missed the memo where Palin decreased earmarks while Obama has consistently increased the amount of earmarks he wants.

How come the whiter suburbs don’t need all this expensive but worthless “community organizing” that the blacker urban areas do??
