The Fall of Larry Mendte
The former newscaster is charged with unauthorized snooping into his co-anchor's e-mail and leaking embarrassing info to his friends in the gossip media.

is it really creepy? You are a hypocrite. If I remember correctly, emails were taken out of a certain persons email account and given directly to you. What did you do? You reported on the emails and wrote what was in them. How is it OK for you? If the person him or herself didn't give you the Emails YOU "reported" on then you are just as slimy.
You really need to do that charity thing. However I think you will continue to hide behind your computer. Aren't you a man?
Monday, the feds charged Mendte with felony charges in an information alleging one count of "intentionally accessing a protected computer without authorization and thereby obtaining information in furtherance of a tortuous act."

The Bush-hating word-gamers would no doubt call reading terrorist emails “torture” and a violation of their constitutionally granted rights. Never mind that they're not U.S. citizens for whom those rights were only written...
There is an old saying, "the decisions you make determines the life you lead." I have to say that Larry made a very bad decision to access someone else's e-mails.
As someone that grew up in the same area as Larry and went to the same schools thru college, I feel sad for him. He is not a bad person, as evidenced by all the charitable work he and his wife have done in this area thru the years.
But it is hard to feel sorry for Larry if he did the actions he is accused of. To read someone's private e-mails constitutes an invasion of privacy. This action can only be excused in a matter of national security or for the protection of ones family.
Larry may have been a little vindictive because he was paid less than Ms. Lane. But the benefit he received by reading her e-mails could not have be as great as what he lost in the way of his career and salary.
I never got to know Larry Mendte, even though we went to the same schools, and played in the same neighborhoods. As a Msgr Bonner and West Chester Univ. Alumnus, I was proud to invoke Larry's name when telling people where I came from. I wish Larry and his family all the best in this trying time and hope he can return like a Pheonix someday to do the same great work that he was known for before this tragedy.

Yeah but don't you find it funny that Spencer says Mendte was slimy, when Spencer uses stolen private emails and prints them in his reports?

It's OK Larry, I never really liked Alycia Lane, either.
You kidding, Lane is much better looking then Mendte. And you can't tell me she had no idea someone wasn't in her email. I think I would know. Probably more to this story.
lane was a bimbo from NYC destined to leave the Philadelphia market anyway whether it was controversy or to "leave the minor leagues for the majors". never liked her from the start. Susan Barnett is much better and easier on the eyes.
