A Challenge to Murtha

Abscammer and Earmark King, Congressman Jack Murtha (D-Johnstown) is facing a stiff challenge from conservative William Russell.

Money Q:

Russell’s clear on where he stands. No doubt Barack Obama would label him bitter and clingy. “I am a Conservative,” he says in his defining campaign statement. “I believe in the sovereignty and security of this one nation, under God. I believe the primary role of government is to provide for the common defense and a legal framework to protect families and individual liberty. … I believe that no one owes me anything just because I live and breathe.”

Sounds like a winner, even if he doesn't win. And check out who's running his campaign.

Murtha is a total scumbag and should be removed from office. By force if necessary.

Dave

Spending seems to be a big problem with Republicans these days. Maybe he can borrow money from China to finance his campaign.

Michelle Malkin is every bit as credible as any Lib "jounalist". That your vicious partisanship causes you to hate her does not make her any less credible, DDD.
Nor does any of that change the fact that Murtha is an utter scumbag.

The usual petty shallow from Boring Bob. Ho-hum...

I'm not a fan of Murtha.

But blind partisan you will still defend him and attack his critics and opponents.

No question that our country would be better off without scumbag Murtha in office.
For all the shrill noise we hear from the LibDems about Weldon, what he is accused of is nothing campared to the abuse and corruption that Murtha is guilty of.

Just shows that Dem voters can be bought, while everyone else is railing against such political purchasing.

randal, I know people from the Altoona/Johnstown area who mention the Medical centers and etc for which Murtha's been directly involved. He's very immersed in the local scene, to me this is easily more important than getting on CSPAN or CNN. Unless someone like a Tom Ridge were to run, the Murtha relection wil be a no brainer.

I never said that scumbag Murtha wouldn't be reelected, Dishonest Dave. Just that he's buying his way. Which he is. Some "change" this.

And notice how once again Dave uses a penis reference. Hmmm...

And don't you think it's time to stop your vicious partisan disingenuous riding of Weldon, DDD? He's out of office already, what more do you want ...other than any Repub blood? Murtha is ten times to crooked scumbag than Weldon, and yet you don't slander him here. Yep, usual Dishonest Dave slant by omission and baseless inuendo.

the lack of a criminal conviction being their only remaining thin thread of argument

Well, this, along with the fact that he hasn't even been CHARGED with a crime.

No. Vicious partisan LibDem you just wants ANY Repub blood. That's not very reasonable or objective.

Funny how you'll defend all kinda perverts and traitors and terrorists but see nothing wrong with imprisoning fellow Americans for no other reason than they are Repubs. Kinda like how you's like to see the murder of company executives who have committed no crime other than selling a legal product that you personally don't like.
Where does all that anti-American hatred come from, DDD?

Point. (And a big one it is!)

yeah, umm, Weldon's out of office, not worth my time. I don't see him returning to public office anymore, so I could care less about his affairs. Save it for another post diano.

once again, you're flipping the issues to slant the other way from Gil's posts. save these for your "progressive patriot" blog posts

And this makes blind vicious partisan Lib Dave giddy.

Witness the quality and depth of Angry Modern Liberal Democrats.

That's not very "unity-y". And they say Bush has divided our country...

Oh, that whole DOJ thing is just an overblown non-issue and you know it. You just don’t like it because this time it wasn’t your side getting away with it, ya hypocrite …and because you hate Bush.
Those lawyers serve at the whim of the sitting President. Of course a Repub -or Dem- administration is going to hire based on one’s ideology and beliefs. Of course. And what about when your former god Slick Willie fired like 90 of them just to get rid of a couple that weren’t loyal to him? You know as well as I that there will be a Lib Litmus firmly in place should your Affirmative Action Candidate win the presidency. Bet ya won’t be weeping about it then.

And how about all them PA Donkeys that are about to go down for using our tax dollars to go politicking? Talk about a culture of corruption!… What they did was far worse than what Weldon hasn’t even been formally accused of.

You’re lying again, Lying Hypocrite Dave.
Every admin hires likeminded people. Some degree of ideologic hiring is nearly unavoidable in such a politically divided climate. Maybe some are just more talented at concealing it than others. You are a hypocrite because while you make so much weeping noise about it when Repubs do it, I’ll bet you weeped nary a peep when Dems have or when Obama does. Which makes you a hypocrite.
And, as I am sure you well know even though you attempted to dishonestly dismiss it here, that what Willie did was NOT just a common purging of those positions. He was indeed targeting certain individuals and fired them all just to avoid the appearance of partisan impropriety. But you’re very knowledgeable politically, so you well know this. Which just makes you a liar for trying to deny it.

Hey, how about how that mean old “Repub” DOJ just took down that crooked Dem Stevens up in Alaska… Oops, wait a minute…
